BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Wax Setup Opr to join our Howmet Casting located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Afternoon position are Monday through Friday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM.

New Hire Starting Hourly Rate:  $25.56; After 12 Months: $28.23

Position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift

POSITION OVERVIEW  

            The set-up operator assists in preparing the injecting machines to inject the correct pieces for the daily schedule.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals. Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook). Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner. Attend all EHS training.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists and trains new employees in correct injection procedures. Sets up and trial operates any injection machine or mold as directed by the foreperson. Inspects work performed against established quality limits. Manufactures mold spray per SPI and formulation instructions. Moves cores from the core stock room to the core prep area. Makes minor repairs on injection presses and any other equipment in department. Assists in start of run & end of run patterns.

INTERPERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

            This position has frequent internal contact with receiving.
