Job Description

Role: Production Operator

Job Summary: This role will be responsible for running the production line, including operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.

Compensation: Starting rate is $22.84/hr

Job Responsibilities 

Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures

Inspect raw material and finished products per quality specifications

Conduct quality checks at regular intervals

Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard work instructions

Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift

Enter waste, downtime data into the system

Additional duties as assigned

Maintain 5S program in work area – general housekeeping and cleaning as needed

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Comfortable working in a manufacturing team environment

Qualifications 

Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred

Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred

Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time

Manual dexterity and attention to detail

Ability to follow direction and specific instructions

Good communication skills; Fluent in English - Reading, Writing and Speaking

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis

Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift

Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
