Production Operator
Job Description

The Production Operator will be responsible for mixing chemicals to facilitate the encapsulation process. This role involves measuring, mixing, weighing, and documenting production runs, as well as cleaning the production suite once the production campaign is complete. The candidate will adhere to GMP regulations throughout their duties.

ResponsibilitiesSet up the fluid bed unit by understanding part names and assembling the pump system.Operate equipment and units, with comprehensive training provided during this phase.Disassemble and clean units after production, ensuring thorough sanitation.Handle raw materials, including lifting 55 lbs bags and moving up to 175 lbs drums, often requiring team lifting.Monitor the computer during production, taking readings, watching temperature and mixing speed, overseeing pumps, and documenting timestamps and weight checks.Essential Skills1+ years of experience working in a GMP or food/pharmaceutical environment with chemical mixing and adherence to SOPs.Experience documenting production runs and maintaining batch records, including weights, temperature checks, and mixing speeds.Proficiency in math, particularly with decimals, for chemical addition and calculation.High attention to detail.High School diploma.Reliability and consistent work history.Work Environment

The work environment is a clean room setting where operators must use facility-specific shoes and wear lab coats, hairnets, and booties. Uniforms are provided. Operators should be comfortable working with and around hazardous chemicals, including narcotics and other pharmaceutical compounds. Production suites are three stories tall, requiring the ability to climb stairs. After production, suites must be power washed and sanitized before the next campaign.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
