This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. 

The Production Operator II, will operate, perform maintenance and troubleshoot broad issues for a series of machines and equipment in the use of chemicals to produce consumer products with an understanding of policies and procedures, using judgement and selectivity with regular guidance. In this role, you will run analytical tests and ensure quality control during chemical processes and maintain a dynamic and continuous process flow that meets safety and regulatory compliance.

Compensation: $25 / hourly
Sign-On Bonus: $1000

A Typical Workday May Include: Monitoring and controlling the various unit operations via the process control system, checking product quality and progressAcquiring general knowledge of the plant boiler, and acquiring required boiler license(s) as soon as possible within four-year wage progression periodConducting boiler water analysis and boiler spot-checks as requiredFollowing documented process procedures and timely completing required paperworkConducting environmental inspections and required emergency response Completing and coordinating Safe Work PermitsPerforming a variety of basic preventative maintenance tasks on plant systems and equipmentInteracting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environmentOperating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, etc.Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and proceduresPerforming Behavioral-Based Safety observationsMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentWhat You Will Need:Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator Must be able to operate machinery and/or Industrial equipment, including a forkliftHigh school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experienceAbility to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
