About the role
Watties', a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a full-time Production Operator to join our team in East Tamaki, Auckland. As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our range of food products.
What you'll be doing
Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure consistent product quality
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain equipment and the production environment
Adhere to all safety and quality control procedures to meet strict industry standards
Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities
Assist with inventory management and stock control as required
What we're looking for
Ability to work with raw meats is a MUST!
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain production equipment
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
