Here, you will make an impact by: + Supporting production by monitoring processes, ordering inputs, loading semi-finished materials, inspecting materials, and performing quality inspections to release product + Operate automated production converting, assembly, and packaging equipment. + Monitor process, order inputs, load semi-finished materials, inspect materials, perform quality inspections to release product. + Operate equipment in safe manner. + Follow plant and department safety rules and practices. + Work closely with other operators, and service groups to optimize process including timeliness of product flow. + Monitor equipment and make required adjustments to maintain quality and desired output. + Computer use is required to run process operation. + Meet performance/output goals. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start) + Interested in and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled which includes working 8 to 12 consecutive hours per day on a weekly rotating shift (i.e. Week 1: 4pm-midnight, Week 2: 8am-4pm) or a fixed midnight shift (i.e. midnight-8am), or a fixed 4 Crew shift (i.e. 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am). The starting rate of pay for this position is $21.88/hour with a $0.50 shift differential for second shift and a $2.00 shift differential for third shift.
