Production Operator- 1st Shift
**Position Summary:** Sets up and operates production equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble various products. Uses product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOP) to produce products. Monitors output for quality and conformance to required metrics. Prepares and maintains required records of production activities and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues. Follows established guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear. **Principle Duties (includes, but may not be limited to):** + Pull raw pipe from stock and load on shot blast conveyor. + Cut pipe to length and run deburr (manually or automatic). + Mark pipe with proper identification for future operations. + Flare pipe/fittings housings, weld flange stops and drill weep holes using appropriate equipment + Bend pipe fittings on bending machine according to specifications. + Set up and operation of thermo extrusion machines + Utilize machines to bend and thread pipe + Perform conquesting process + Operate machine to swage pipe + Cut elbow sections on saw and deburr prior to flaring operations. + Clean pipe ID of any dirt or scale and mask for painting where required. + Load and unload pipe from painting machine and manully paint around flanges. + Inspect all parts and workmanship (TQC) in accordance with manufacturing specifications. + Perform material handling functions using hand trucks and carts. + Report production and labor on VCT and work order traveler. + Maintain a clean and orderly work area. **Essential Qualifications / Experience:** + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. + Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift. + Operator must have basic math skills including addition and substraction of fractions and decimal values for determing material, manufacturing and inspection requirements. + Operator must have ability to rad measuring instruments not limited to but including: tape measure, thickness gage and calipers. + Operator must have good hand-eye coordination, grip strength and dexterity to handle and assemble products using hand and machine tools at established production standards. + Operator must have a basic reading and writing ability to read and interpret manufacturing orders and material requirements and to report production. _This description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees within this classification.
