Production & Material Procurement Planner (HcP/LOP)

Company Description

Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (HcP) in Dong Nai Province.

HcP has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (TbP). On 14th April 2011, HcP celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 HcP marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, HcP doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

Job Description

1/ Customer interface & demand planning  

Timely communicate with IPN (International Production Network) and RBUs (Regional Business Unit) to understand customer demand and drive HcP (Ho Chi Minh city Plant) production.Understand customer demand changes, behaviors, and trends, and compare with capacity to create a feasible assembly plan; escalate in case of potential shortages.Able to detect and recognize critical part numbers and clearly communicate them to production teams to fulfill delivery requests.

2/ Production Planning for Assembly Production 

Able to create effective assembly planning with consideration of pre-process capacity. In case of shortages, provide proposals to cover the loss or shortfall.Coordinate with QMM (Quality Management), MSEx (production area), and rework teams for blocked parts, setting clear expectations.

3/ Material Procurement Planning  

Timely update demand forecasts and simulate both short-term and long-term procurement plans. Coordinate with end users to forecast consumables and maintain sufficient stock for their activities.Perform weekly/daily stock checks and issue purchase orders, considering reorder points and other factors.Work with the purchasing department and end-users to find solutions in case of risks that may lead to material shortages.

4/ Inventory management 

Perform BP (Business Plan)/ CF (Current Forecast)/ Monthly/ Weekly inventory forecasts.Actively seek opportunities to optimize finished goods inventory (e.g., advance delivery, releasing blocked stock, efficient production planning).Define and manage Min/Max inventory levels and take responsibility for inventory control.       

5/ Drive BPS (Bosch Production System) activities & Improvement  

Participate as a project member for SAP/ProCon planning, S4 HANA, and other initiatives.Able to review and optimize planning files, including auto-planning tools, visualization, and consolidated files.Actively contribute to CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) and the Suggestion Scheme.

6/ Project management 

Lead assigned projects and propose effective approaches.Participate in relevant training programs to enhance project management skills.

7/ Ad-hoc coordination tasks/ reports 

Willing to take on coordination tasks and reporting responsibilities across a wide range of complexity levels.

Qualifications

1. Education

University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), preferably in Industrial Management or a related field in Supply Chain​​​​​ 

2. Work experience

3–5 years of experience in logistics planning functionsExperience in problem-solving, project management, and continuous improvement activities

English & Chinese – Business fluencyProficient in MS Excel, including VBA and MacrosSAPWilling to work under pressureOpen to new topics and eager to learnStrong communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external departmentsHigh commitment
