Job Summary/Description:

Gray Media is looking for an experienced broadcast professional to join our team as it launches a new daily talk show focused on health and consumer issues surrounding aging. This M-F show will air on Gray Media's broadcast and digital platforms. This is a new show being developed by Gray Media and an opportunity to join a team producing the next wave of syndicated programming for the company. This will NOT be a newscast. The ideal Production Manager candidate will be technically skilled and organized, have a creative mindset, and have strong attention to detail. Creative problem-solving is a must. This is an opportunity to focus on important issues affecting communities across the country. This position is based in Atlanta, GA.

The Production Manager will be responsible for working with the Executive Producer to oversee a team of employees working to build a visually impactful and informative daily show. The Production Manager will oversee technical aspects of the show, including video storage, file transfer, and distribution. The Production Manager will also be a contributing editor/photographer to the daily show and will need a creative eye and an attention to detail in order to maintain the editorial and visual standards of the broadcast.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Work with Executive Producer to develop, codify, and train processes for daily show (i.e, shooting, editing, video transfer, archiving)
- Manage a team of editors/photographers to ensure the visual standards of the show are maintained
- Work with the Executive Producer to meet regular production schedule deadlines
- Use the company Bitcentral platforms and station websites to locate content for the daily show
- Digital/Social/CTV duties as assigned
- Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications/Requirements:

- 10 years of experience in Broadcast News
- Strong organizational skills
- Motivated, self-starter who is detail-oriented
- Proficiency in non-linear editing and the ability to learn the Adobe Creative Suite as well as new systems as they are implemented. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Proficiency in motion graphics and the ability to learn the Adobe Creative Suite as well as new systems as they are implemented. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Proficiency in Dropbox for transfer, archive, and review of files, as well as new systems as they are implemented
- The ability to interact professionally and effectively with Gray management at the station and corporate level
- Proficiency in Windows-based electronics and the ability to learn ENPS as well as new systems as they are implemented
- Proficiency in BitCentral as well as new systems as they are implemented
- Understanding of digital CMS production and the ability to learn Arc as well as new systems as they are implemented
- BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
- Flexibility with travel and work schedules
- Must be willing to live in Atlanta, GA DMA
- Must be 18 years or Older
