GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of production personnel/teams to meet product quality requirements and schedules that adhere to the BRPMS Philosophy. Ensures compliance with existing policies and procedures and initiates and manages improvement activities.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
● Completed Professional Degree
● 5 years of experience leading a high-performance team
● Experience in the automotive industry
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Ability to motivate and delegate authority to subordinate personnel.
• Sense of urgency and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively multitask
• Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills, computer skills • Must be familiar with lean manufacturing concepts, including MRP, JIT, ISO, SPC, and SAP.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Demonstrates leadership and commitment to the QMS and customer focus. Leads all assembly operations in the plant and coordinates the work of the production departments through familiarity with all assembly processes. Maintains ongoing awareness of customer shipping requirements, work schedules, and quality levels. Provides the necessary personnel to meet these schedules.
● Promotes continuous improvement. Responsible for identifying, implementing, and verifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
● Conducts plant inspections to ensure safe work practices through visual observations, memos, personal guidance, and, if necessary, corrective actions.
● Responsible for the implementation and compliance with BRPMS standards.
● Establish, implement, maintain, and improve the QMS. Responsible for the overall quality of the assembled product.
● Provide all necessary resources to maintain and support the QMS. Motivates and directs the training of all production personnel, monitoring the effectiveness of training and defining roles and responsibilities for all levels in the production assembly organization.
● Liaises with managers and staff and effectively communicates relevant information to those who need to know it.
● Demonstrates a leadership style that is consistent with the company's values and management philosophy.
● Jointly establishes individual goals by analyzing and understanding everyone's job functions.
● Understands and leads HSE practices applicable to job functions within the production assembly organization.
● Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) established for their role in relation to ISO 9001:2015.
● Comply with safety rules determined according to their role.
● Complete planned training sessions related to Quality and Training on time.
● Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
