The Production Manager is responsible for leading operations to ensure production is completed in a safe, efficient and timely manner while maintaining quality standards.  Will also be directly accountable to their financial results.

Essential Functions:

Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtimeStrive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across product line(s)Ability to explain variances of actual vs budget expenses within the segmentEstablish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without comprising safety of employees, safety of product, and quality.Aid in streamlining processes and best practices to drive efficiency gains and quality improvements.Coordinates daily shift operations to ensure timely and efficient completion of production orders.Provide oversight when needed for scrap entryForecast material needs either outsourced or insourced including gate production (China, Danville, or Wagoner)Work with Engineering team to identify and evaluate VAVE projectsWork with Sales to schedule all ordersCreate daily powder coating schedule based on completed black stock production and shipping scheduleWork cross functionally with team members from all areas to drive continuous improvement activities in key areasCoordinate activities to support new product implementation, engineering projects and manufacturing needsAssist floor supervisors and lead persons in training needsMonitor, evaluate, and report out on employee performance, while providing coaching when needed.Complete annual performance reviewsSchedules and assigns employees to work according to the demand of the production schedule.Track absenteeism and approve employee’s time in timekeeping system.PM equipment in departmentCheck inventory for department weekly for purchasing requestsData entry to log information on production spreadsheets daily

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years previous supervisory experience in manufacturing facilityPrefer knowledge in ABB pick/place robots and Panasonic mig welding robots5 years mig welding experienceShot Blasting experience and knowledgeStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work autonomously with little oversight and make prudent and informed decisions, often quickly and with limited information.Able to read and perform basic mathematical calculations as wellAbility to work in fast paced environmentMetal fabrication exp. a plusBasic Computer skills, ie:  E-mail, data entrySome travel may be required for training, or best-practice sharing, up to 15%
