Production Manager

**POSITION SUMMARY:**
As part of the Operations Leadership Team, the Production Manager will have broad responsibilities for Operations performance and associate leadership for one or more Production Areas and Processes at XOS. With a direct reporting relationship with the Area associates, the Manager will lead the team to achieve production goals, ensure quality on the production lines, drive productivity, and lead continuous improvement activities within the Area of responsibility. The Manager will be accountable for Area and Operations Key performance Indicators (KPIs) and will drive that accountability to their direct reports to achieve business goals. Regarding Process responsibility, the Manger will be accountable for coordination and execution of Production Planning, Inventory Management, Cross Training, and Facilities processes. Lastly, the Supervisor will provide their associates with performance and development management and ensure their team is engaged in the work and culture of XOS.
**Responsibilities** **:**
+ Supervise the value stream production of electromechanical assemblies while driving improvements to KPIs.
+ Accountable for daily management reviews using SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity) boards.
+ Assist with the onboarding process of new hires and the required training for all associates within the Area.
+ Evaluate associate performance and conduct reviews. Coach, train, and counsel associates to improve performance.
+ Ensure compliance with professional standards such as occupational health and safety and customer requirements.
+ Work with the Area Team(s) to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
+ Accountable for inventory control within assigned Areas, including cycle count accuracy and proper inventory transaction processes.
+ Build, maintain, and improve standard work, 5S and Veralto Enterprise System (VES) culture to drive SQDIP performance.
+ Ensure associates follow appropriate Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and policy which may include the identification and proper handling of hazardous waste.
+ Manage operating costs, including tooling/equipment and overtime, to targets.
+ Participate in corrective and preventative action practices as it relates to product quality, plant safety, and environmental compliance.
+ Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans on all relevant production equipment.
+ Accountable for the Production Planning process (PSI – Production, Sales, Inventory), working with a direct report dedicated to process execution, and facilitating the coordination between Production Leader(s).
+ Accountable for Inventory Management processes, including periodic Cell Cycle Counts and organization and execution of annual Full Physical Inventory counts.
+ Accountable for ensuring staffing for all areas is sufficient to meet production goals through the development and implementation of a Cross Training/Deployment program.
+ Accountable for facilities maintenance and improvements.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Experience with mechanical assembly and testing processes.
+ Practical knowledge/experience in engineering disciplines, including mechanical design, electrical engineering, and data analysis.
+ Ability to gather meaningful data and organize data into information which can be acted upon to achieve business goals.
+ Demonstrated ability to problem solve using a data-driven approach.
+ Good project management skills and the ability to make impactful changes on difficult problems through process rigor.

+ At least 7 years of technical experience in a manufacturing organization with a metric and results driven culture.
+ At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role with direct reports, with examples of performance management.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills, with a strong ability to create followership.
+ Demonstrated ability to properly balance the management of day-to-day results with systemic problem solving and root cause analysis.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
+ Evidence of driving continuous improvement through others.
**Education** _(List of required Education, Certifications, Training)_
+ BS Degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or STEM field required, or equivalent years of experience (8+)
+ Will consider candidates with proven leadership experience and results.
+ STEM field preferred.
**Travel Requirements**
+ Flexibility for up to 5% overnight travel is expected.
+ Travel typically associated with off-site training, Veralto company benchmarking, or supplier related visits.

This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $105000 - $115000 USD per year.
