Our Curries brand is expanding the Operations Management Team and is looking for a Production Manager for our 2nd Shift (2:00 pm to 11:00 pm). This role will be based on-site at our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, Iowa.

What would you do as our Production Manager (2nd Shift)?
You will play a pivotal role in managing our manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining our high standards of quality and safety. You will lead, develop, and train a team, coordinate production schedules, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency.
You would also:
Attend and participate in all department start up meetings to ensure stretching program and safety talks are being completed. Drive participation in the CHIP Program (CURRIES Hazard Identification Program), PEER Program, and GEMBA communication boards in all departments. Be visible on the shop floor for a minimum of 6 hours per shift. Schedule vacations and floating holidays in accordance with production needs and complete required paperwork for timecards, pay increases, etc. Plan and organize manpower to meet scheduled needs while meeting or exceeding departmental and company labor hour goals. Train, onboard, and motivate employees through participative management techniques to ensure maximum efficiency and maintain morale. Reward and discipline employees in accordance with company policies to maintain fair and consistent accountability. Review reports on productivity, quality and safety and provide and implement actions to correct deviations as required in a timely matter. Provide suggestions on improving processes to positively impact productivity, quality and safety and assist in implementation. Assist in developing departmental goals, which support company goals and provide reports on progress. Control inventories of materials used and provide reports as required. Communicate effectively with supervisors from all departments to ensure all goals are met. Be responsible for specific departmental safety training and maintain a safe working environment. Perform other duties and special projects as required. Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees. Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
The Skills and Experience you need:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment with experience managing and accomplishing goals through your team. Demonstrated track record of implementing LEAN manufacturing methodologies. Excellent communication and time management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines.
