We are currently accepting applications for a Production Manager to join the PepsiCo Bluebird team in Wiri. The core responsibility of this role is to provide strong and consistent leadership to drive performance excellence by delivering results across key operational pillars- team engagement, customer service, product quality, workplace safety, and cost efficiency across four production lines aligned withour AOP objectives. Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Manager, the ideal candidate will be a strategic and commercially minded leader with outstanding people management skills, capable of effectively guiding a diverse and experienced team. Responsibilities Lead Continuous Improvement: Own and execute the Bluebird CI strategy and annual priorities, ensuring ongoing performance enhancements. Strategic & Structural Planning: Identify future asset and workforce needs to meet evolving customer and business requirements. Financial & Operational Delivery: Achieve AOP financial targets and pursue above-plan opportunities to drive cost and performance efficiencies. People Leadership & Development: Inspire and engage teams through strong leadership, coaching, and implementation of a robust people strategy focused on capability, culture and KPI ownership. Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, quality and legislative health and safety standards across all operations. Customer & Stakeholder Focus: Drive exceptional customer service, act as a role model of corporate values, and influence best practices across all levels of the organisation. Qualifications About You Proven Leadership & People Development: Extensive experience leading, coaching, and empowering teams across all levels, including managing workgroups and navigating crisis situations, while driving a performance- and team-focused culture. Food Manufacturing Expertise: Strong background in food production environments with in-depth knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and best manufacturing practices. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Demonstrated application of Lean methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, 5S), modern process control, and continuous improvement tools to optimise processes and performance. Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen: Solid understanding of budget management, financial reporting, and commercial drivers, with a track record of implementing effective, practical solutions in complex manufacturing settings. EHS & Compliance Knowledge: Well-versed in current Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices and legislative requirements, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality operations. Influential Communicator: Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to inspire, build trust, and foster collaboration across operational teams and leadership levels.
