You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes.

Your Role and Responsibilities  

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. 
 
- Work model: #Onsite at our Nottingham facility

Leading and developing the production team while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.

Develops programs, goals, and metrics to optimize operational performance and working capital while implementing improvements in production processes to enhance productivity and resource utilization.

Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value-added costs, reduce waste, and delight customers by delivering products on time and ensuring adequate product quality

Oversees the creation of maintenance subcontracts and manages the subcontractor jointly with other involved disciplines, including Supply Chain Management.

Leading the planning and implementation of maintenance, testing, and inspection schedules to ensure the facility team operates in a safe and efficient manner, prolonging equipment lifespan, mitigating the risk of failures, and fulfilling statutory obligations. Assessing buildings and recommending actions for improvement in line with ABB’s Green Real Estate approach.

Qualifications for the Role  

5-8 years of experience in operations, building management, or maintenance, preferably in manufacturing.

Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and quality control, with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving initiatives to achieve organizational goals.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices for a safe working environment.

Ability to adapt to change, manage unplanned events, and focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
