Chemours is seeking a Production Maintenance Coordinator to join our growing team. This position will be available at the La Porte Plant in La Porte, Texas and report directly to the Operations Manager.
This role will focus on maintaining high unit reliability at the lowest possible cost by coordination of internal and external resources to restore equipment to operation. It is the key interface between operations and site maintenance, site resident contractor, and site contract administration (for purpose of bringing in additional outside support). The role will require leadership, ownership, planning, development and utilization of Work Management Processes (WMP), organization, and the ability to multi-task and meet commitments.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Review emergency/urgent work orders each morning and determine if schedule break is necessary.Communicate emergency work immediately to the maintenance team leader. Report schedule breaks at morning meeting and maintain appropriate metrics.Review all notifications for accuracy (written to proper equipment, written clearly, contains ERT # & failure mode, appropriate WO priority, etc.). Provide feedback to author (and supervisor) of inadequate/incomplete notifications. Maintain/review key metrics: schedule breaks, notification accuracy, RTS backlog, jobs delays and why, upcoming 6J work not RTS, priority 1&2 work orders older than 30 days, etc.Lead daily planning/schedule meeting and communicate clearly to operations jobs needing to be prepared for next day.Lead weekly planning/scheduling meetings and communicate to Operations and Maintenance supervision any week when inadequate RTS jobs are available to fill available maintenance time.Actively drive critical Preventative Maintenance work completion to avoid past due orders.Regularly interact with unit operations personnel. Regularly tour process areas to assess conditions and repair status.Manage area backlog, maintain opportunity list for areas, and schedule these jobs when plant conditions allow.Set priority for COD work with resident contractor by acting as interface between COD authors, operations leadership, and contract administration.Maintain designated standard work records and proactively review standard work each week with supervisor.Develop written procedures to cover aspects of the job not covered by existing procedures and incorporate into site manuals.Lead or participate in continuous improvement programs.Conduct training as necessary with site work groups on use of the notification system.Coordinate all plant upkeep to maintain optimum balance between production downtime, maintenance cost, MRO inventory, etc.Safety, Health, and Environmental
Be familiar with the site policies from the Process Safety Management manual and SHE manual.Know the hazards of chemicals found on the site and in the MSDS system.Be involved in safety reviewsThe following is required for this role:
Prior manufacturing process or maintenance experienceKnowledge of High Hazard chemical operations and safety.Good verbal and written communication skillsComputer skills using software such as Microsoft office and other special programs, as neededExperience with SAP business softwareAbility to work outside of regular daytime hours, as necessary, including weekends or holidays.Interpersonal skills to work well with vendors, peers, and supervisionThe following is preferred for this role:
Familiarity with sulfuric acid and HF production processes and equipmentExperience in PSM-covered high hazard manufacturingAdvanced SAP experience is preferred regarding maintenance processes such as planning and schedulingBenefits:
