Production Lead Person - Quincy, IL
Pay Rate: $30.00/hr. + $2.00 shift differential
Shift(s) Required: 2nd shift, 2:30pm – 11pm, Monday - Friday
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and on occasion different shifts.

Job Summary
The Production Lead Person is responsible for the safe operation of their shift team. Responsible for overseeing, training, and job performance of Operators to ensure high quality and efficient operations while demonstrating a positive and inclusive culture at the Animal Nutrition facility.
Facility ExpectationFollow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.Ensure product quality expectations are met.Follow all facility Good Manufacturing Practices as required.Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule.Work with other Operations colleagues to effectively communicate production issues.Participate in morning toolbox, shift exchange/review and response meetings to communicate your key process indicator performance.Once qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues.Required to work overtime as specified by management.Attend training classes in-plant or at other locations as assigned.
Work DutiesMeet or exceed KPI goals as set forth by management.Coordinate operations colleagues to complete all necessary tasks for the shift.Leads shift exchange review and response meetings to communicate warehouse key process indicator performance.Responsible for participating and managing record keeping, safety, quality, and production related activitiesEnsure production schedule is followed daily, meeting production and quality goals.Work with Production Supervisors to resolve production issues.Ensure coverage for employees who are out on vacation, illness, or other reasons.Review daily production logs.Maintains compliance of housekeeping/master sanitation scheduleWork in the most effective, efficient and safe manner at all times.Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.
Minimum RequirementsMust be 18 years or older High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalentMust be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing and verbal communication)3-5 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment and/or similar military environment (preferred) Ability to act in a professional manner and adhere by ADM’s Code of ConductDetailed oriented and self-motivated with a solid work ethicGood attitude and works well in team atmosphere.Maintain excellent attendanceStrong safety aptitude
Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsAbility to move about on a work site by ascending/descending stairs, extensive walking, climbing steps or ladders, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, stooping, bending, squatting frequently, kneeling, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfacesAbility to operate equipment or machinery that may be located at different heights with open view grating from multiple elevations or in confined spaces Ability to lift up to 50 pounds overhead Ability to traverse two (2) miles or more during the course of a workday Ambient conditions – Work area is, typically, a non-air-conditioned production environment. Working in in extreme heat and cold in all seasonal elements, both indoors and outside on a regular basis.Atmosphere: May come in contact with Dust (Peanut - known allergen), corn, cotton, canola seed, chemicals, odors, work with known allergens that might be presentMust be able to work around vibrating equipment and noise levels that may reach or exceed 85 decibels and will require use of hearing protection for most of the work shift Employees are required to wear all company provided Personal Protective Equipment (i.e., hard-hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, face masks, gloves when required, uniforms, and steel-toed boots) in addition to job specific PPE requirements (i.e., fall protection equipment and respirators)
