Job Description

 

Overview
The Production Floor Manager role focuses on leading by example to ensure that individual and
team production goals are met on a daily basis. This role ensures that our production staff is
focused on quality, output and productivity. The Production Floor Manager also collaborates with
the Operations Team and leadership team to ensure that the internal processes and procedures are being followed at every step of the way to ensure a high quality and complete install kit delivered on time.

 

General Responsibilities:
• Deliver finished Install Kits on time and at desired quality and accuracy
• Be a Brand Champion by following through on the vision and values outlined in our Credo and our Balanced Scorecard
• Manage a production budget for labor, shop expenses and shop maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized manufacturing facility
• Manage a team of production personnel ensuring all company production goals and key
performance indicators are met or exceeded
• Work with leadership teams to hire, train, develop and retain top talent
• Conduct a consistent 1x1 cadence with production staff
• Manage and lead a daily ops huddle, production huddle and monthly production meetings
• Collaborate with the product team to deliver ongoing product training
• Analyze production data to determine opportunities for increased efficiency

Qualifications:
• Previous leadership in a similar industry preferred
• Knowledge of production schedules
• Basic technical machine operator proficiency
• Proficient in Microsoft & Google Suite
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
• Positive and enthusiastic
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to company core values
• Willingness to problem solve and drive projects to completion

QualificationsMinimum of 5-7 years of experience leading a production/manufacturing team.Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse environmentFamiliar with LEAN methodologyExperience with short interval controls on a manufacturing floorMust be able to operate all machine areas and currently hold a Level 4 in two of the cell areas (Edge banding, Pack, Saw, CNC/BHX) AND become a Level 4 in another cell area within the first 90 daysWill have a thorough knowledge of typical manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment, and cabinetry/furniture industry experience is a plus. Must have strong leadership skills, servant leadership coaching style, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
