This Position reports to:

Local Division Manager & Site Manager


 

Manage a team of engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers. Formulate plan, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Ensure team's compliance with standard processes, procedures, practices, and safety requirements.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Reinforces and maintains a culture of health and safety in all aspects of the production environmentEnsures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates, coaches and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR polices and drives performance. Works with the R&D to implement NPI projects in line with the prescribed NPI process. Provides support to production in achieving volume, quality and delivery targets. Carries out continuous improvement activities to support production using problem solving techniques such as 6 Sigma.Supports evaluation of new manufacturing technology Actively participates in communities of practice with industrial engineering teams from other factories. Participates in defining the annual budget for area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints.

Qualifications / Experience for the Role

Outstanding leadership and motivation skills to guide the engineering team to achieve high performance. 5+ years of working experience working in a senior management position within a manufacturing environment, or other relevant industry. Experience of managing a department across a multi-site organization. In-depth knowledge/understanding of engineering practices and processes. A proven background in engineering with an understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering. Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative, and practical solutions. Excellent consultancy, communication, delegation, and relationship management skills. Project management skills.
