Job Description
As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing new equipment and technology to drive continuous improvement. Your role will involve developing and leading periodic improvement plans for processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. You will provide advanced technical support, analyze downtime, troubleshoot issues, and ensure effective communication with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will be tasked with specifying, sourcing, and procuring necessary resources and providing technology transfer to support new process launches.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and implement new equipment and technology for continuous improvement.Develop and lead improvement plans for processes in assigned product areas to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.Provide advanced technical support, including downtime analysis and troubleshooting.Identify process parameter variations and coordinate data collection and analysis.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and stakeholders.Specify, source, and procure necessary tooling and resources for projects.Transfer technology to production technical staff for process improvements.Essential SkillsProficiency in machine logic, vision, robotic logic, and CAD.Experience in high precision mechanical assembly, wire forming, welding, and epoxy dispensing.Solid understanding of dimension and performance measurement systems.Experience with manufacturing engineering, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PLCs.Knowledge of process improvement, lean manufacturing, troubleshooting, and tooling.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS Degree in Engineering.1+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.Preferred: 3+ years of experience, PLC knowledge, and robotics knowledge.Work Environment
This position is based in an electric motor stators manufacturing facility, which operates as a clean-room environment requiring smocks and ESD shoes. The role involves working cross-functionally with various teams including Quality, Production, and Design Engineering. Work will be a mix of on-floor and desk duties depending on projects, and may involve early morning or late evening meetings with teams in Japan bi-weekly. Benefits include six paid holidays and ten accrued PTO days for additional time off.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
