What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: Provide technical expertise to ensure the operation produces product that meets all quality, cost, and efficiency requirements. You will identify ways to improve safety, quality, yields, and the capability of existing processes while also assisting in the scale up and implementation of developmental products/processes. Core challenges include leading continuous process improvement to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the operation to meet goals established by the business along with providing technical guidance to the operations team to assist with process troubleshooting along with developing corrective action plans.

Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Developing root cause solutions to eliminate reoccurring area process problems

Improving the baseline value of key area metrics (yield, quality, capacity, and uptime)

Monitoring raw material usage and production in area using SAP

Assisting in developing process packages to support capital projects

Maintaining area Process Hazard Analysis & Management of Change

Supporting safety initiatives, Honeywell Accelerator culture, and driving continuous improvement in the facility.

Improving operator knowledge by maintaining technical manuals and improving training practices

Optimize energy consumption and drive sustainability improvements

Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Illinois.  The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Hargrove’s total compensation package for Teammates.  Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, skill set and location. 

 

Minimum Salary: $104,000 annually

Maximum Salary: $166,000 annually

Ideal Background

Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.

Registration: Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.

Experience: This position requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Certification in Six Sigma or Lean

Chemical, catalyst, and extrusion manufacturing experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

Able to prioritize multiple projects

Ability to work without guidance or supervision

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
