They collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze data, and drive root cause analysis to address issues related to production quality, efficiency, and handoffs. Additionally, they support Supplier Quality initiatives in collaboration with Procurement. + The Production Engineer is responsible for applying engineering solutions to solve complex problems and to continuously improve key metrics including safety, productivity and cost. + The Production Engineer provides direct and continuous support to manufacturing operations and serves as the main point of contact to manufacturing operations personnel. This position also serves as a liaison between operations and the engineering department. + Work with cross functional teams to implement new products, incremental, derivative and cost reduction projects as well as working with cross functional teams to solve product and field issues. **Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:** + Root Cause Analysis and Process Improvement: + Investigate and identify root causes of Out of Box (OOB) and Production Quality issues. + Collaborate with production teams to address process inefficiencies and optimize production workflows. + Implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and reduce defects. + Monitor key process metrics (e.g., cycle time, productivity, downtime) to ensure processes are in control. + Handoffs and Collaboration: + Facilitate smooth handoffs between production, Sustaining Engineering, and R&D Engineering. + Coordinate communication and information flow to ensure seamless transitions during product development and production phases. + Supplier Quality Support: + Collaborate with Procurement to assess supplier quality and performance. + Participate in supplier audits, risk assessments, and deviation processes. + Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues and improve processes. + Technology Deployment and Automation: + Evaluate new technologies and proof-of-concept testing for production suitability. + Identify gaps and risks in existing processes and recommend improvements. + Contribute to the selection and implementation of production infrastructure. **Education and Experience:** + Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial). + Experience: 1-year Hands-on experience in production engineering, process troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. + Section IX training or experience in WPS/PQR creation McCrometer is proud to part of the Water Quality segment of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $80,000 USD per year. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
