PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SEAWATER/DIESEL)
Summary You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SEAWATER/DIESEL) in the Engineering and Planning Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. This announcement is for an Upward Mobility Program position. Responsibilities You will perform the following duties under close guidance and supervision. You will be responsible for planning for the accomplishment of preventive and corrective maintenance work and alterations on complex Seawater / Diesel systems, sub-systems and components. You will develop Controlled Work Packages (CSP) and Formal Work Packages (FWP) from Planned Maintenance Requirements (PMR) requests, Corrective Maintenance work requests, and TRIPER component overhaul requests. You will perform configuration ship checks, ensuring the FWP / CWP accurately describe the work to be accomplished , for the scope of work involved. You will utilize Labor Standards and Uniform Method and Standard tools to accurately and consistently determine man-hour estimates for the most efficient production effort. You will conduct research of technical information to develop accurate Job Material Lists (JML) to provide accurate material cost estimates and to aid in procurement of required in-use materials. You will research and correctly identify Quality Assurance (QA) requirements, write Re-Entry Controls (REC) and prepare all QA forms You will determine the proper procedures, applicable test requirements and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) required to certify that work is performed correctly and that required systems or components will function as designed. You will identify and documents requirements for Departure from Specifications (DFS), Liaison Action Requests (LAR), Technical Variance Documents (TVD) and Waivers. The entry level for this position is GS-09 with a full performance level of GS-12. Familiarization with Seawater System component repair processes. Eligibility requires that the employee be performing satisfactorily, complete all training requirements, acquire the requisite qualifications and have met time-in-grade eligibility for career ladder promotions.
