This role supports the Industrial Solutions Leadership team, initially working in the BorgWarner Arden facility and will transition to a new production facility within the Western North Carolina region.

The new campus offers the opportunity to create a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that produces heavy duty products for the commercial industry. This campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. This will be a greenfield site built to suit BorgWarner needs.
This position will provide strategic vision to optimize logistics flow into, through, and out of the facility to ensure customer delivery satisfaction. Functions responsible for will include production scheduling, material planning, inventory control, material handling, shipping and receiving. Team will collaborate cross-functionally to continually improve safety, quality, and delivery performance as a key component of the entire value chain.
Key responsibilities
Accountable for safety, talent, delivery, inventory accuracy, order fulfilment and cost performance.Creation of strategic capacity planning as a basis for long-term personnel planning.Planning, design, optimization, and evaluation of existing and future processes as well as their operational implementation in the areas of material control, warehousing and material planning or production supply according to the guidelines of lean management.Implementation of medium-term capacity and quantity planning as well as the resulting material planning.Develops a monthly forecast and annual budget for review with leadership team.Cooperation with strategic purchasing in the conclusion of framework supply agreements and logistics contracts.Evaluates staffing needs to optimize individual performance and job responsibilities to drive cost and efficiency.Execute daily production plan and continuous improvement activities as set by leadership.Responsible for driving cost reductions within area by collaborating with cross-functional teams.Develops continuous improvement action plans to evolving customer needs.Lead/collaborate with cross-functional groups to understand opportunities and facilitate resolutions within other groups.Responsible to provide guidance and direction of individual goal development, talent development, succession planning and performance.Consistently applies and executes policies and organizational standards.Organizes material flow and inventory to reach production targets and process goals.Coach and develop team leaders and members while holding actions accountable.Manages performance reviews and time keeping for area managed.Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures.Perform other duties as needed.What we’re looking for
Required
Four-year degree in logistics, business leadership, operations or similarMust have proven leadership in PC&L function within a complex manufacturing systemMinimum 10 years of experience as a logistics manager, production planning, cooperation with customers and suppliers in the automotive industryPractical knowledge of modern supply chain management techniques and tools with particular emphasis on the automotive and commercial vehicle industriesProficient in SAP, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Preferred
Experience in operations leadership (production execution).Experience with a new plant start-up/implementation.Experience in heavy duty product handling and logistics, commercial customersWhat we believe
