Job Description

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Business Associate joins a dynamic, student-centered production team. The Production Business Associate is responsible for payment and income tracking, requisitioning, supplier and personnel set-up, budget reporting, travel booking and other business activities for Theatre and Dance productions and events. A typical 14-week semester includes three mainstage productions, three studio productions, and class-based and student-led performance projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and track requisitions for purchase and check requests.

Collect and submit required information to facilitate integration of Suppliers and Personnel into the Workday System.

Maintain financial records of all Production related activity utilizing ledger-based accounting software entry.

Prepare reports that track ongoing expenses of various Production areas (Electrics, Audio, Scenic, Costumes).

Keep accurate accounting of production p-cards and petty cash distribution.

Supervise office duties of Graduate Assistant and other office workers.

Act as timekeeper for hourly production workers and student workers.

Assist with schedule and coordination of rehearsal space, production department personnel and the use of venue(s).

Assist in communication between Production Manager and the directors, designers, stage managers and all department heads.

Work proactively and cooperatively with faculty and staff to ensure the success of productions.

Cultivate a positive and supportive environment for student workers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Management retains the right to add or change job duties at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum two years of experience working in financial tracking and/or requisition processing.

Working knowledge of QuickBooks or other ledger-based accounting software, MS Office, and Google Suite, and the ability to learn new software as needed.

Experience, ability and commitment to creating a working environment that is supportive, open, and respectful.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED:

Experience in an educational production environment and student mentorship.

Experience in finance or business administration in a performing arts production environment.

Knowledge of Workday.

Salary Range

$63,833.23-$70,221.74 Annually
