**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **Production Associate ** to join our team specializing in **Manufacturing** for **Cummins** in **Gauteng, South Africa.**   **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Operate machines and production equipment independently and safely, meeting quality and productivity standards in a manufacturing environment. + Assemble and overhaul components such as eliminators, oil filter heads, intercoolers, top stacks, and cylinder head assemblies using jigs and sub-assembly processes. + Ensure timely delivery of quality products to the assembly line within the standard required time (SRT). + Follow standard work procedures and quality practices, including SPC, poka-yoke, and visual standards, while identifying and addressing non-conforming materials. + Complete all required documentation accurately during the component assembly process. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and operator care standards, including regular housekeeping and equipment maintenance tasks. + Support the training and development of apprentices in the component area by providing guidance and instruction. + Collaborate effectively with team members and support functions, communicating issues and working together to achieve production targets and maintain equipment performance. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Basic technical skills or experience in dismantling and assembly processes; comfortable working with hand tools. + Strong teamwork skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate toward shared goals. + Clear and effective communicator, able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences and situations. + Demonstrates courage and accountability by addressing challenges directly and constructively in the workplace. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/ Experience:** + High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. + Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. _The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement._   **Job** Manufacturing **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** On-site **Job Type** Shop **ReqID** 2414511 **Relocation Package** Yes
