JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and creative Production Assistant to join The Bottom Line on FOX Business. As a Production Assistant, you will help produce high-quality, one-of-a-kind materials including video montages, SOTs & graphics daily. Qualified candidates should have a creative eye and a solid understanding of the news of the day. You must also know how to implement these skills in a collaborative editorial environment. Good time management and organization is a must.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Cut video & SOTs, with varying degrees of difficulty, to help tell a story

Create topical graphics for the set to correspond with news of day segments

Compile research on topics discussed in the show

Assist anchors with pre-show preparation

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

1-2 years of prior television (or similar) experience

Ability to work collaboratively with others under intense deadline pressure

Ability to work independently and make smart decisions on your own

Ability to understand and implement ideas described by others

Willingness to listen, learn, and grow from constructive criticism

Knowledge of business news, politics, and current events

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-25.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
