Location: Parker Aerospace Group - DSD- Irvine, CA
Works under general supervision and is responsible for work output. On a production basis, performs medium electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. Semi-repetitive to repetitive-type work. May make simple decisions, but must generally follow well established precedents. An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good understanding of ESD controls, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques, as well as handling of classified assemblies.
Responsibilities:
+ Intermediate spool wrapping, cable handling and testing techniques;
+ Intermediate cable harness and PCB assembly techniques;
+ Intermediate mechanical assembly of small parts and good understanding of torque requirements;
+ Intermediate fiber optic terminations, polishing and testing;
+ Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions;
+ High voltage potting and high voltage testing
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) or more years of related electronics assembly experience. J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
+ The company must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
+ Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
+ Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, up to 12kv Hypot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns and common hand tools.
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, pound or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, New York, Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $17.60 - $29.33 hourly.
