We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Agronomist to support our soybean seed production operations based out of Wahpeton, ND. Gain exposure to and knowledge about our seed business while utilizing your strong communication and agronomic skills to work with growers, customers, and employees.
Responsibilities: How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!
Serve as the primary field contact for contracted soybean seed production growersInvolved in all aspects of grower relations, including but not limited to: acreage allocations, contracts, and conflict resolutionManage and recruit growers to ensure the highest quality seed is being producedUtilize digital tools and data to help drive decisions that enhance quality and yieldCoordinate variety placement, integrated pest management programs, planting, isolation, field inspections, and harvest operations in your assigned areaUtilize your leadership skills by supervising seasonal workers to address peak workloadsLead safety programs and strongly support the growth and maintenance of Corteva’s safety cultureImplement and maintain soybean quality standards while meeting targeted yields and other planning parameters agreed upon with Production Management.Obtain appropriate licenses and certification when neededAbility to work and manage flexible hours and days during specific critical busy seasons throughout the year.This role can accommodate a flexible work arrangement where you may work a portion of the time from home.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Agronomy or Ag field)Ag related experience/backgroundDriver’s License and good driving recordKnowledge of agronomic practices (pest management, disease ID, product placement)Good verbal communication skills – ability to work with diverse groups of peopleStrong Microsoft Office experience as well as significant experience with computer software and programsThe following are preferred:
3-5 years of experience working with seed growers and seed plant operationsCertified Crop AdvisorUAV pilot certificationLeadership/supervisory experienceKnowledge of Digital Ag including, but not limited to, farm equipment monitors, field mapping programs, unmanned aerial vehiclesPriority management (ability to handle multiple task simultaneously with urgency)Work/Visa Sponsorship not offered for this role.
