Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Product Support Lead to support the development, testing, fielding, and sustainment of a US Army ground-based air defense weapon system.

The successful candidate will work with and manage a small team of ILS professionals as an embedded part of the overall system development, fielding, and integration process to define support requirements, plan for life cycle sustainment, and produce ILS products in accordance with US Army regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

As part of a multi-functional, matrixed team, the Product Support Lead will be responsible for facilitating the development of logistics support plans, product support analyses, product support data, and logistics product data summaries per GEIA-0007C, AR 700-127, and AR700-18.

Will be responsible for data management in tools such as COMPASS, SESAME, and PowerLogJ to ensure data requirements are met in accordance with MIL-STDs.

Will prepare, coordinate, and take part in system test planning and execution, verification, and validation events as required.  

Will assist in the development of in-process review briefings. Review, comment on, and develop logistics related documents, plans and reports. Draft technical papers, focus and guide project teams, monitor cost and schedule of projects, participate in project evaluations, respond to customer inquiries, and verify product technical quality.

Will provide direct support to the ILS Manager on all technical logistics efforts, integration with the systems engineering process and team, provide advisory and assistance support for cost, schedule, technical quality, and personnel, and attend all scheduled meetings as required.  

Basic Qualifications

Must currently possess an active Secret Clearance.

Bachelor’s Degree and 12 or more years of prior relevant experience; or a Master's Degree and 10 or more years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Direct experience providing ILS for military acquisition programs and programs of record.

Strong communication skills.

Demonstrated experience working within matrixed teams.

Experience in SESAME, PowerLogJ, and COMPASS tools

Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity supporting Logistics Provisioning Conferences and other logistics specific events.

Familiarity with providing inputs for Basis of Estimates and other contract estimating tools.

Direct experience supporting US military missile defense program offices.

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
