Product Support Engineer - On Premises Application Security

This is for a hybrid role in Vancouver, BC.

Position Summary
 

This position is for a Product Support Engineer who will work closely with Imperva Customers to resolve active issues. They will work as part of a team out of a ticket queue to handle problems as they arrive. 


Special Position Requirements

Schedule: Please indicate the core work hours required for this position, e.g. First Shift, 7AM-3PM Monday through Friday; Core Business Hours Monday-Friday, etc. Tues-Sat 10-7 CDT or Sun-Th 10-7 CDT or Sat-Wed 10-7 CDT


Key Areas of Responsibility 


A Product Support Engineer will handle customer cases from the time they are opened through the escalation process, if needed, and finally to close. A PSE should be working to build their knowledge and proficiency and share it with the rest of the team. A PSE should be a team player, ready and able to support other members of the team. 


Basic Qualifications
 

• BSCS Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing
• Minimum 5 years of high-level Technical Support experience
• Additional experience working with Security or Network related products is preferred.

• Support experience with a record of delivering customer satisfaction
• Solid support experience working with technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, Load balancers, Proxies and Firewalls
• Experience with troubleshooting tools such as tracert, tcpdump, and Wireshark
• Prior hands-on experience with Linux and other Unix operating systems.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong sense of customer commitment.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly, succinctly, and accurately.
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies while leveraging experience

Other experience that is preferred including,

• Experience with troubleshooting and deploying cloud solutions like those offered by AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
• Knowledge of a scripting language such as Perl, Python, Shell, Regex
• Experience with Container deployments and virtual storage solutions

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC): 76,208.54 - 101,611.38 - 128,924.64 CAD Annual

This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills, and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity.
