Recruiting a Director for the established Database Cloud Support team responsible for Base Database Service, APEX, Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM), Data Migration Service (DMS), Autonomous Recovery Service, Full Stack Disaster Recovery Service (FSDR). The job focus is to deliver high quality customer service to the Oracle Database Cloud customer base while serving as an advocate for the customer needs. The main role is to lead a team troubleshooting Database Cloud problems and work in partnership with external and internal customers, support engineers, developers and DEVOPS teams. 

The job responsibilities include: setting support team objectives and insuring operational excellence, taking ownership of escalated customer issues and seeing problems through to resolution. Researching, diagnosing, fixing and identifying solutions to resolve technical issues. Following standard operating procedures for proper engagement of internal and external partners. Effectively interacting with customer on all levels.

The successful candidate should be widely regarded as an expert in their current role and demonstrate the ability to work with the team in resolving complex problems or identifying acceptable workarounds. He/she should be able to perform their assigned duties with a great degree of independence requiring minimal direction. The candidate should be adept at building relationships across organizations and leveraging these relationships to resolve cross-product issues. The successful candidate will have strong people and project management skills and experience, with focus on setting clear and concrete team and individual objectives and on ensuring flawless execution toward those objectives. The candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and must be comfortable interacting with executives and senior management. The role requires working a late shift in India, covering the EMEA time zone. It also requires flexibility in covering some weekend responsibilities.
