Sandvik Mining and Construction RDC is a business unit based in Lubumbashi, part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a business area and leading supplier of equipment, tools, services, and support for the mining industry. Scope
Responsible for standard maintenance, repairing, inspecting and commissioning service projects, taking client and Sandvik context and requirements into account. Strong customer focus in approach to execution, works unsupervised in workshop and/or at the customer site.
Your mission
Maintain products and equipment at the customer site or own premises independently.
Operate equipment and explain the functionality of hydraulic and electric systems to junior service technicians or customers.
Identify components, explain basic functionality and conduct maintenance and repair work accordingly.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify problems.
Provide preventive and cost-efficient repairs.
Download control system data and upgrade software, under supervision.
Conduct Equipment Audits, Identification of Parts Required, Perform Quotations and Organise Job Scheduling

Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Sandvik Values and applicable policies and Procedures. Takes responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills.
Safety and Environment
Complies with Sandvik Mining EHS policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements. Identifies and reports any unsafe work practices.

Your profile
We are looking for a technician with an Advanced Certificate/ Diploma in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience in surface or underground mining. You can maintain Sandvik equipment, and you possess a valid driving license. As we act in a global context, you master English, French, and computer literacy.
