Product Specialist, Genetic Sciences
**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Office **Job Description** Thermo Fisher Scientific LATAM are looking for a Product Specialist to Drive the Genetic Science business including both Instruments and consumables. Develop research, biotech, and clinical markets. Implement sales strategy for products to achieve sales targets. Responsibilities include crafting, implementing, tracking, and reporting performances of the sales plan, targets, and forecasts. Drive our clinical solutions by working with marketing and global business units. Partner with our channels in the region and direct sales teams in Colombia to identify and develop potential leads. Additional responsibilities are: + Build a pipeline of opportunities to support reaching AOP for the south LATAM subregion in the academic, biotech, and clinical segments + Drive business expansion in collaboration with Support, Sales, and Market Development teams + Drive adoption of our NPIs and continuous technical knowledge + Work together with local sales colleagues to ensure all possible actions are taken to secure business in different situations + Set up and undertake sales, anticipate pipeline changes, and have plans in place to address shortfalls + Advise on the growth of business by gaining new accounts/business, identifying and developing strong and valuable relationships with Key Opinion Leaders + Establish relationships with customers to promote penetration, retention, and dedication + Provide Technical & Sales Training + Prioritize projects and resources + Identify competitor activities and develop tactical responses + Align with Company quality management systems, policies & procedures **Qualification:** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Engineering + Knowledge of molecular techniques such as capillary electrophoresis, qPCR, and digital PCR + Minimum 3 years of sales experience/account management within life sciences + Proficient in English - written and spoken + Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Strong trade and presentation skills + Ability to establish short & long-term business objectives + Availability to travel (7 - 10 days per month) **Behavioral skills:** + Ability to lead and interact effectively at different levels of an organization + Demonstrates common sense and tact when dealing with internal and external customers + Able to handle confidential and proprietary information + Must possess self-motivation, passion, and a positive demeanor Thermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
