What You Will Do

As a Product Research Intern with Trimble, you will contribute to a dynamic team of product & design research professionals, assisting with a broad spectrum of customer research activities that inform Trimble’s cross-product strategies and new technology initiatives such as AI.

You will be working within the NZ arm of a global team, collaborating with members across multiple locations, and you will gain practical experience in a range of customer and strategic research areas:

Collaborate with design and product teams to translate research insights into actionable recommendations

Contribute to the creation of research reports and presentations

Assist the research team in identifying user needs and market trends

Support customer research methods, such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing

Help analyze research data and synthesize findings

Support the team in understanding customer pain points and opportunities.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

Curiosity, and a passion for understanding people, their context, and why they do what they do

Currently studying a diploma or bachelor’s in a design, market research, or customer research-related field

Some experience or study in Voice of Customer, or Qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies

Good communication skills with the ability to tell ‘human’ stories

An ability to tell stories visually through graphs, or graphics

Some interest in user-centered design principles and practices

Familiarity with research tools (e.g., survey platforms, data analysis software) is helpful but not essential.
