We are seeking a smart, driven, and collaborative Product Quality Manager to join our Hardlines Private Brands Product Quality team. In this role, you will lead product development and quality management for AmazonBasics categories, working closely with vendor partners and internal teams to raise the quality bar through proactive initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in new product development, deep knowledge of consumer hardlines quality standards and compliance, and experience applying AI technologies. You’ll help build GenAI solutions to scale quality processes and support our rapidly evolving business. Key job responsibilities • Ensure products continuously comply with Amazon’s quality, performance, reliability, as well as relevant safety and worldwide regulatory requirements • Implement and apply Amazon.com quality systems throughout the product life cycle • Work with stakeholders to define HPB product requirement document/specification in the planning stage of product development • Work with suppliers, 3rd party test labs, and internal teams for quality and compliance testing. • Proactively drive corrective action plans to lower down DPPM and raise the quality bar • Monitor and rigorously adhere to all quality activities SLAs and ensure SLA adherence by vendors and 3rd party labs. • Own DPPM (Defective Part Per Million) & CRR (Customer Review Rating) for responsible product categories, and proactively work with all stakeholders for resolving any quality complaints or issues • Strive continuously to identify innovative ways to prevent quality issues leading to improved customer reviews and ratings • Continuously analyze existing quality processes and systems and work with cross-functional teams for process improvements • Drive scalable business solutions on product development and quality monitoring processes • Maintain close collaboration with all internal and stakeholders, including those based in US and other worldwide Amazon offices, and provide visibility through appropriate reports • Explore and implement Generative AI tools to improve quality operations and drive innovation. Basic Qualifications Basic qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or related discipline - 3+ years experience in product development or quality management within a manufacturing environment, third-party testing agency, or sourcing office of a global retailer - Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and managing both internal and external stakeholders - Strong background in managing vendor relationships and third-party service providers - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dive deep into data to identify root causes of quality issues - Structured and process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement - Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin - Solid data analysis capabilities and basic programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python) - Hands-on experience using AI tools and developing Generative AI solutions Preferred Qualifications - Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines - CQE, Six Sigma certification, or MBA is a plus - Proficient in Excel, Word, and other standard desktop applications; comfortable learning web-based tools and proprietary systems - Ability to write basic SQL queries and use Python for data analysis and have fundamental understanding of AI concepts and technologies - Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
