**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Put customers first and help them solve their challenges. + Provide demonstrations, presentations, bill of materials, system architectures and resolve pre-sales technical issues involving electrical/electronic control systems, PLC products, PLC applications/designs, operator interfaces, and associated software including HMI/SCADA + Provide technical start-up support for new customers. + Creation of product and solution demos + Presenting technical workshops to customers + Presenting informal training courses + Writing software code for proof of concepts + Attending and presenting at tradeshows and events + Creating Bill of Materials and System Architectures + Writing technical articles or application notes + Logging and tracking of technical support cases. + Design, assemble, test and simulate systems to identify and resolve reported product issues. + Interacting with marketing, product managers, engineers, sales and supply chain to provide feedback on market, or customer, needs and dynamics. + Partner with our global marketing team and industry managers to execute local activities. + Report activities using Salesforce.com CRM **Who You Are:** You serve as a tactical front for sales and customer in understanding their requirement and offer the system to meeting required in optimized and cost effect, maintain the network and collaborate with different stake holder including external and internal **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Minimum 5 years of experience in an application engineering role, or a systems integration role, preferably in industrial automation. + Working knowledge of discrete and hybrid automation systems. Technologies include Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)/Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs), Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), Servo Motion, Safety Systems (Machine Safety, Emergency Shutdown (ESD) and Fire & Gas (F&G)), Operator Interfaces, HMI/SCADA software and cloud/EDGE technologies. + Effective oral and written communication. + Multilingual and tech savvy + Pre-sales experience in adjacent industries may be considered for the right candidate (information & operations technology / electrical / industrial or manufacturing software / MES & MIS / cloud computing / mechatronics / robotics / instrumentation / OEM equipment). **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** + Bachelor's degree in engineering from Control Systems / Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics / IT / Computer Programming. + Certified in the cyber security, functional safety values added. **Our Culture & Commitment to You** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
