Introduction:

 

Hey there! At Wärtsilä Gas Solutions, we're all about taking our Product Management game to the next level. We're strengthening the ownership and management of our portfolio products and boosting our support for the product lifecycle. We're also jazzing up our data and document management systems to make sure everyone, from sales to services, has the info they need.

 

Work Location: Gdynia, Poland, but we will also evaluate several locations based on your skills and preferences.

 

Position Overview:

 We're on the hunt for Product Owners for VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) Products. If you're a Process Engineer with a knack for simulation on Oil Processing on FPSOs, FSOs, and/or shuttle tankers, and you've got experience with software like Petroleum/Oil Manager in Aspentech or similar, you might just be the perfect fit. Responsibilities:


•    Develop, maintain, and optimize our product portfolio.
•    Ensure alignment between product families and technical disciplines, including interfaces, capacities, functionality, and best engineering practices.
•    Evaluate change requests, feedback, and lessons learned; understand the cost impact and assign actions to develop and implement necessary changes.
•    Oversee portfolio design packages, including process descriptions, risk analysis, and risk assessments.
•    Manage the Product Portfolio, including technical maturity risk; evaluate products and initiate development projects as well as phase-out needs for old products.
•    Launch products, deliver technical content for sales and marketing, provide training, and define value propositions to customers in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
•    Receive Conceptual Solution Specs from the Sales Manager/Solution Development for specific technical challenges and participate in BID-approval meetings.
•    Attend meetings with customers for escalated technical questions outside the scope of the Solution Development function.
•    Support projects with technical questions and participate in technical kick-off meetings with PM, especially when there are reported deviations.
•    Assist sourcing with component criticality ratings against suppliers.
•    Provide troubleshooting support during installation and commissioning.
•    Support Services with technical questions.
•    Participate in the development of tools and processes needed for Technology Development and Product Portfolio Management.
•    Support the Technology Development to Market process.
•    Manage engineering-BOM to SAP for standard products.

 

Accountabilities:


•    Develop strategies and actions connected to the Product in alignment with Gas Solution's overall strategy.
•    Support market-driven R&D in collaboration with Innovation and Sales.
•    Manage the Product Portfolio, including standardization, optimization of revisions, versions, and options.
•    Provide sales support by offering technical specifications of standard products.
•    Offer project and commissioning support.
•    Conduct life cycle analysis and chain evaluations.
•    Perform yearly criticality ratings.
•    Follow up on Product environmental targets.

 

Qualifications:


•    Higher technical education, Master's degree, or equivalent in Process Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.
•    Proficiency in using Excel.
•    Excellent communication skills.
•    Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
•    3-5 years of experience (recent graduates are also encouraged to apply).
•    Energetic with a strong desire to contribute to the transition from fossil to green energy.
•    Proactive and responsible.
•    Strong self-drive, self-motivation, and ability to work across disciplines.
•    Team player.
