Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of our travel technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge of the travel industry and a strong background in agile product development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision, gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-impact solutions for travelers, agencies, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Vision & Strategy:
Define and communicate the product vision aligned with business goals in the travel domain.
Understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the travel industry (airlines, hotels, car rentals, tour packages, etc.).
Backlog Management:
Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer impact.
Write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases, tailored to travel-specific scenarios (e.g., multi-city booking, loyalty integration, seasonal pricing).
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the main liaison between stakeholders (marketing, customer service, operations) and development teams.
Gather feedback and translate it into product enhancements.
Agile Development:
Work closely with Scrum Masters, UX/UI designers, and developers to ensure timely delivery of features.
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Quality & Performance:
Ensure the product meets usability, performance, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR for traveler data).
Validate releases and support go-to-market activities.
Domain Expertise:
Leverage knowledge of global distribution systems (GDS), travel APIs (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo), and booking engines.
Address travel-specific challenges such as cancellations, rescheduling, dynamic pricing, and multi-currency support.
Work Experience
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in the travel domain.
Strong knowledge of travel technology, trends, and customer expectations.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Technical understanding of APIs, mobile apps, and web platforms.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Travel Management, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with GDS systems or travel aggregators.
Prior background in travel agencies, OTAs, or corporate travel platforms.
Certification (e.g., CSPO – Certified Scrum Product Owner).
