In this position you will join the Thales Netherlands IS/IT team. IS/IT is at the core of the Thales digital transformation, there is a close relationship between IS/IT and business.

With a team of 85 colleagues we provide IS/IT support to our 2500 NL colleagues in several Business Lines and functions. The IS/IT department of Thales Netherlands works closely together with the international IS/IT departments of the Thales group.

The Product Owner PLM supports the PLM Squad and works closely with Business stakeholders and other Product Owners within the Business Applications domain. PLM processes As-designed, As-planned and As-built are supported in Windchill. Our challenge for the coming years is to integrate the remaining PLM perspectives in Windchill.

About the job

Your typical day will look as follows:

The day normally starts with a brief standup of the PLM Squad in which you update each other and pick up actions. During standups squad team members discuss what went well, what could be improved and where they might need help. Afterwards you pick up a cup of (Starbucks) coffee to work on some administrative tasks and questions. Then it’s time to participate in a retrospective or refinement of your Squad or engage with other Product Owners internationally to get aligned on complex epics or projects. You’ll be acting as the link between the Business demand, enablers or other priorities and translating these into realistic stories and epics. You oversee the big picture and you plan and manage the velocity for all the projects and programs within your domain. At the end of the day you sit down with the Business Partner Lead or your Chapter Lead to discuss challenges or shifted priorities or you might celebrate successes with your Squad

You are responsible for:

Supporting and ensuring that the vision and strategy for the products within your domain are in line with the company vision and strategy.Defining and coordinating the lifecycle management of all the products and services.Create and maintain the product back-log for your team and domain and translating the work into optimal sprint planning.Coordinating with your stakeholders & other product owners for the priorities and planning.Translating the business demand and value for all the projects and ensuring that your team and the stakeholders are fully aligned on the expectations.Aiding in the IS/IT year planning and budgeting process.As a leader in an agile organization, you exemplify agile values, principles and ways of working, and foster an agile mind-set within your team.


About you 
We are in search for a colleague who:

has minimally a higher education degree (Bachelor or Master);is an excellent planner and works well in a dynamic environment to ensure that all the planned work is completed on time;has at least 5 years relevant working experience especially in an Agile environment (Product Owner certification is an advantage);has experience within a complex enterprise IT environment and understands the techniques and products that are involved (Windchill, Jira, etc);has strong communication skills;is a servant leader, eager to share knowledge and coach team members to develop technical and human skills;has experience with agile working or is open-minded to adopt new ways of working;is fluent in English.
