Product Owner II

Location: Remote Duration: 8 months Overview: The Product Owner II serves as the owner of a large product or set of products, representing the voice of the customer and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business strategy while delivering customer value. This role defines product vision and roadmap, prioritizes the product backlog, anticipates client needs, and serves as the primary communicator between stakeholders and agile teams. The Product Owner II plays a key role in strategic direction, identifying opportunities, and collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive product success. Primary Responsibilities: Build and own product vision and roadmap that align with overall business strategy; communicate effectively to teams and stakeholders Prioritize backlog(s) to reflect customer needs and business priorities Represent the customer voice and provide story details to the team; make timely, informed decisions to advance delivery Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and refine backlog with the delivery team Partner with teams to establish progress tracking tools and communication methods Actively participate in agile ceremonies and team activities Influence senior-level business partners across divisions to advocate for customer value Apply design thinking and analytics to focus on outcomes over outputs Collaborate with other Product Owners to align customer journey and dependent backlogs May serve on behalf of Senior Product Owner in their absence Adhere to company risk, compliance, and regulatory standards Perform additional duties as assigned Scope of Responsibilities: Individual contributor role with no direct supervisory duties. Requires ownership, accountability, and influence within an agile environment. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: None Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years in business, product management, analytics, or technical roles; OR a minimum of 10 years of combined higher education and work experience, including at least 6 years in business, product, or technical positions Experience in Product Management within Financial and Banking environments Experience delivering enterprise-scale data and transformation initiatives Strong collaboration and communication skills; proven ability to thrive in ambiguous settings Education and Experience Preferred: Experience managing competing priorities in fast-changing environments Ability to balance input from diverse stakeholders with independent decision-making Knowledge of Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean principles Experience collaborating with UX teams and developing/managing digital capabilities Strong product design and development knowledge Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Subject matter expertise relevant to assigned product area Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and applicable certifications or licensure. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
