Are you ready to join a growing team? CTG is seeking to fill a Product Owner I opening for our client in Buffalo, NY. Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 6 months Overview: The Product Owner represents the voice of the customer and stakeholders to ensure product value and alignment with business strategy. This role defines product vision and roadmap, manages the backlog, anticipates client needs, and serves as primary communicator between stakeholders and the Agile team. The Product Owner will work with a dedicated team to deliver cloud data infrastructure, secure file transfer, and related work supporting a new vendor cloud-hosted SaaS implementation. Strong communication skills and a technical background are essential. Primary Responsibilities: Define and own product vision, roadmap, and backlog. Represent customer needs, write user stories, and specify acceptance criteria. Partner with delivery teams to ensure progress and transparency. Collaborate across teams to align on customer journey and dependent backlogs. Apply design thinking and analytics to improve product outcomes. Support compliance with risk, regulatory, and audit standards. Scope of Responsibilities: Key role in setting strategic direction, identifying new opportunities, and working with senior leadership and Agile teams. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: No direct management; leads through influence, ownership, and accountability. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years business, analytical, technical, and/or product experience; or 8+ years combined higher education/work experience with at least 4 years relevant experience. Agile delivery (Scrum preferred) in a Product Owner role. Experience with vendor cloud-hosted SaaS and cloud data environments (Azure preferred). Commercial banking experience. Education and Experience Preferred: Ability to prioritize across competing needs in fast-changing environments. Experience applying Design Thinking principles. Knowledge of Agile/Lean practices and product design best practices. Experience with UX collaboration and digital capability development. Strong communication and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
