Product Owner-Banking Industry

Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio. **Your role and responsibilities** Responsible for creating and aligning teams around the product's vision, goals and success metrics, to drive impactful business outcomes for the client. The Product Owner will gather insights, perform market and customer research, and perspectives from multiple cross-functional stakeholders, and translate the vision and priorities into Product team work streams and creation of the product/s backlog/s. The Product Owner will work with stakeholders to get buy-in and approval on all major directional decisions for the product. Key Responsibilities: * Domain & Functional Ownership: Act as the banking domain specialist, owning all functional changes within designated service domains. * Requirements & BIAN Translation: Elicit requirements and translate them into BIAN-based services and APIs. * Functional & API Design: Create functional designs, identify corresponding SOR services/APIs, develop mapping documents, update domain data models, and create API specifications. * API Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of APIs and services (creation, deprecation, retirement). * API Catalogue Maintenance: Ensure API catalogues are accurate and consistently updated. * Squad Collaboration & Clarification: Work closely with architecture, development, and test teams to ensure correct translation of requirements into working applications. * Backlog Management & Prioritization: Participate in Scrum ceremonies to plan, manage, and prioritize the squad's backlog. * Future Demand Planning: Collaborate with the central demand management team to plan and prioritize future backlog items. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Domain & Functional Ownership: Act as the banking domain specialist, owning all functional changes within designated service domains. * Requirements & BIAN Translation: Elicit requirements and translate them into BIAN-based services and APIs. * Functional & API Design: Create functional designs, identify corresponding SOR services/APIs, develop mapping documents, update domain data models, and create API specifications. * API Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of APIs and services (creation, deprecation, retirement). * API Catalogue Maintenance: Ensure API catalogues are accurate and consistently updated. * Squad Collaboration & Clarification: Work closely with architecture, development, and test teams to ensure correct translation of requirements into working applications. * Backlog Management & Prioritization: Participate in Scrum ceremonies to plan, manage, and prioritize the squad's backlog. * Future Demand Planning: Collaborate with the central demand management team to plan and prioritize future backlog items.
