The Role: Morningstar Sustainalytics is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-centric Product Owner who will own the product strategy and maximize the value of a product. It involves setting the project's direction, ensuring progress, and facilitating its successful execution, including proactive problem-solving, communication, and motivating team members. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for leading, managing, and actively advancing a project from initiation to completion. 

What You’ll Do

Translate the business requirements into documented technical requirements and workflow diagrams

Develop new product data models and validate them against various use-cases & non-functional requirements

Manage the product backlog, defining product vision, and prioritizing features

Create user stories, epics specification and acceptance testing criteria

Identify inconsistencies in business workflows and possible scenarios

Facilitate communication of either changes in requirements or changes in development between the development team and business owners

Conduct effective project management to ensure key project deadlines are met

Who You Are

At least 5 years’ experience working as a business analyst or product owner

Advanced Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence

Good SQL skills - ability to quickly understand and navigate data structures, write queries over multiple SQL environments for data investigations. Develop data models and optimize them for various use-cases.

Ability to work towards fast moving, strict deadlines, that are set with high-quality standards in a dynamic working environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

Flexible mindset with strong ability to adapt for constantly shifting business requirements and needs

Proficient business English oral and writing skills (the company’s working language is English)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of understanding and speaking both technologically and from a business perspective
