Job Description

Job Summary
In today’s fast-paced digital environment, many enterprises overlook the untapped value within their existing software. The Product Owner for Asset Led Growth (SW assert harvesting) will help unlock that value by facilitating and coordinating the process of identifying, evaluating, and monetizing (i.e. harvesting) internal software assets to uncover growth opportunities, and create new revenue streams for the organization. The role involves working across departments to discover software assets, ensure the right experts are engaged in assessing them, and supporting commercialization strategies including go-to-market plans.

Key Responsibilities
• Organize and manage an internal audit to identify software assets with market potential.
• Maintain a structured evaluation framework to prioritize assets based on market demand, scalability, and competitive positioning.
• Coordinate with asset owners, product managers, business strategists, and market research teams to define monetization models.
• Ensure that competitive analysis and business case development are conducted by the appropriate teams. 
• Work with engineering and product teams to track necessary modifications, including security, compliance, UI/UX enhancements, and scalability improvements.
• Act as a liaison between marketing, sales, and development teams to ensure the smooth execution of GTM strategies.
• Track pilot programs, beta testing initiatives, and early customer feedback collection.
• Establish tracking mechanisms to monitor the success of software asset harvesting efforts.
• Aggregate reports from various departments to provide leadership with insights on progress, challenges, and key opportunities.
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in project management, product development and coordination, or technology operations.
• Experience in working cross-functionally with product, business, engineering, and sales teams.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make business-scenario driven decisions.
• Ability to track multiple initiatives and ensure progress against timelines and objectives.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies, players and software business models, such as:
o AI/ML technologies and applications
o Data engineering and analytics
o Cloud computing
o IOT, Edge
o SDV, Compute
o SaaP, SaaS, PaaS Models
• Knowledge of intellectual property (IP) rights and software licensing agreements.
