Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Japan Headquarter office in Tokyo, Japan full time.
The Role -
Key person to lead product marketing in Japan for GM productsLead development of launch plan for new products and facilitate cross functional team for timely launch execution and issue resolutionDevelop proposals of new product content, price with competitive analysis and go to market actionsFocal point contact person to obtain product information from teams in USA or in Korea as well as providing market input to future product programs via export managers (correspondence in English)What You’ll Do - Analyze market dynamics and define product strategy to support Japan business objectivesDefine product content and pricing proposals for new products including model year updatesFocal point to share product details to other functional teamsFacilitate ordering of pre-production test vehicles and support initial ordering of new productsFacilitate cross functional meetings and ensure launch readiness (Product Launch Meeting, periodical meetings with US counterparts)Facilitate product related communication to dealers by presentations and product information documentsLead product content inspection and initial issue reporting of new productsSupport PR and marketing activities by interfacing with press for product inputsClosely work with other functions to determine sales promotions, including development of campaign models, to achieve business objectivesLead development of accessories and work with other functions for accessory verification and launch preparationsFacilitate preparations of globe box literatures (Owner’s Manual and others)Facilitate verification of Japanese translation for cluster display textsSupport development of product training content for dealer salespersonsSupport Product & Public Policy Director for development of future product portfolio proposal for Japan including definitions of product content, price positioning and volume plansManage purchasing process (PR, PO) and settlement of invoice for activities of product team
