As a Product Marketing Manager for server memory you will be an expert in our customers, products and infrastructure to optimize our Server DRAM opportunity through go to market plans in the commercial channel. You will drive the overall strategy for the Server DRAM business to optimize resource usage and deliver growth in the channel. You will work with the Cloud Memory Business Unit (CMBU) and Core Data Center Business Unit (CDBU) to align our channel strategy and objectives to their roadmaps and deliver meaningful growth for server memory.
Responsibilities will include:
Meet the Server DRAM business goals by continuously assessing and adjusting plans as neededDevelop and maintain optimal product and solution assortment including SKU rationalization and new product introductions into the commercial channelDrive new product launch plans and sustaining programs with marketing, sales, and business operations teams to optimize overall revenue opportunityCoordinate cross BU communications with product marketing and management teams in CMBU and CDBUWork with sales to manage an opportunity pipeline to effectively forecast segment performanceCoordinate with business ops team to define and maintain optimal product stocking levelsGather and build competitive info to drive the most appropriate products, pricing and servicesDevelop a new product validation plan and track progress at key customers, key motherboard manufacturers, chipset venders, and system buildersDrive customer outreach activities and relationships to grow the businessWorking with the PLM teams of other business units as well as the CBO enterprise process team, enable channel facing server DRAM SKU’s inside Micron’s mid-term and long-ger planning systemCoordinate and drive PM requirements for related customer web experience applicationsReview and contribute to all related commercial marketing collateralEnsure appropriate training of sales and partners for Server DRAM are completed as neeRequired Experience:
5+ years combined product marketing and sales in storage or tech-related field across international markets through direct and indirect sales3+ years managing DRAM or storageBachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; Master’s degree is a plusRequired Skills:
A thorough understanding of the server and workstation hardware ecosystem, particularly around motherboards, processors and DRAMSolid planning and organizational abilities along with a great attention to detailHigh level of judgement when interpreting input from the marketA mastery of project management skills that enables successfully driving a diverse set of resources and cross-functional teams to a common goalKnowledge of and experience managing products through a PLM process and using PLM software (IE Teamcenter)Advanced knowledge and proficiency in use of personal computers and Microsoft Office with excellent PowerPoint and Excel skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to support business unit executives with analysis and presentationsMust be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the timeAbout Micron Technology, Inc.
