The Product Marketing Director, Women's Health is a core member of a Health “pod team” (alongside product management and RD&A) responsible for the strategic vision of a Proactive Health portfolio strategy within a health need states (i.e. Cognitive, Digestive, Immune, Women’s and CIA(Children Infant Adult).  The role’s primary purpose is to synthesize global consumer and category insights, synthesized with customer and competitor information to set forth a vision/aspiration for the pod’s assigned needs state.  They must then collaborate with the pod team on the strategy to execute the vision globally to capture the most value for Kerry.

In addition, this individual is also accountable for partnering with regional marketing and sales leads to translate the health platform strategy into go-to-market plans including external marketing campaigns, sales enablement content, account-based marketing programs, tradeshows and product launches. As the marketing member of the platform pod, the product Marketer creates demand by defining the where to play and right to win for each need state.  Finally, the product marketer is to drive alignment around the value proposition and target product blueprints that define the synthesize global approach to that consumer and customer category within a health need state. You will work closely with product management and RD&A in the health pod whose roles are to define how to win/how to compete and how to play/can we play respectively.  Together the three parties will check and balance each other’s actions in order to ensure accountability and alignment as the health pod develops the innovation pipeline and executes the platform strategy. 

Key responsibilities Define the where to play and right to win for the category segment by synthesizing global consumer and supplement category market trends in a health need state to develop a global approach to capture the most value for Kerry with our science-backed, clinically studied ingredients across supplements, food and beverage and pet categories Define new opportunities by developing the Target Product Blueprint, a voice of customer, consumer insight backed document that defines and prioritizes the jobs to be done, value to be gain, specifications to be met.  Collaborate with the pod team to develop the innovation pipeline through product renovations, research clinical trials and new to the world solutions to meet the needs of defined new opportunities within the target product blueprint. Manage continuous growth by creating innovation pipeline that has output every 1, 3 and 5 years correlating with new positioning in horizon one, new research clinical trials in horizon two and new to the world products in horizon three.  Partner with product management to benchmark new growth opportunities, portfolio gaps, new products, renovations/research clinical trials/ M&A against target product blueprint and  recommend a build or buy approach when considering execution. 

 

In partnership with the pod, Determine attractiveness and ROI for each target product blueprint/new product, renovation, research clinical trial or M&A target we investigate by developing the business case and integration planning as relevant to support the focus. Develop business cases that critically evaluate, prioritize and balance solution elements (product, service, price, capabilities, technology, etc., ) and facilitate choice in collaboration with the POD  around new product/ renovations/ research to  ensure the best global solution is made for Kerry With the pod team, define a living portfolio of target product blueprints and develop business cases that rank, prioritize and facilitate choice; Provides insight and guidance to ensure new opportunities are in alignment with PAH strategic, volume and financial objectives. Lead the health platform “deep dives” including consumer and category market trends, opportunity sizing, competitive analysis and internal capability assessment in order to provide strategic recommendations to the business for the health portfolio Identify new growth opportunities and portfolio gaps within the health portfolio and partner with product management to recommend a build vs. buy approach Collaborate with pod to develop an aspirational innovation pipeline the defines renovations within horizon one, new clinical trials within horizon two and new to the world solutions within horizon three. Own, maintain and evolve Kerry’s global positioning in health and all “hero” technologies underneath the  health platform Create “plug and play” global health content toolkits for mobilization in region Lead new product launches for the health platform including creation of value proposition, content creation and integrated marketing campaigns Partner with RD&A on internal new product innovation projects, collaborating on the design and strategic objectives of new clinical studies

 

Qualifications and skills Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; strong presentation and positioning skills Ability to influence without direct authority; Strong entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to effectively navigate in ambiguity. Strategic planning experience required. Strategic thinking with the ability to design structure and organize a strategy to create a competitive advantage Excellent team and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization, engaging with internal teammates towards company goals. Lead and facilitate highly efficient meetings and workshops; capable of training sales as well as holding people accountable Ability to successfully develop networks and manage stakeholders with clear, trustworthy communication Ability to manage several projects at one time with define delivers while demonstrating the competency to prioritize, meet timelines and a track record of getting things done at high level of quality.    Highly organized, Strong project management and change management skills

 

 

Education and Training

Minimum BS in Business / Marketing with 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience or MBA with 8+ years in business/marketing Master’s degree or higher in a related nutrition, medical or food science as it relates to key health platform (Cognitive, Digestive, Immune, Women’s and CIA(Children Infant Adult))or category(food, beverage, supplement or pet). B2B marketing experience preferred in a global organization. Experience in the supplements or nutraceutical industry preferred. Experience working in a matrix organization strongly preferred.
