Product Manager - Technical II

Overview
The Core Authentication team is responsible for MasterCard’s safety and security related product development efforts to protect the integrity of the electronic payment system as well as ensure payments are convenient yet secure. The products are primarily focused on cyber security, authentication, fraud prevention, risk mitigation and dispute resolution across all payment channels as well as all stakeholders - issuers, acquirers, merchants, processors, and consumers. The key objectives of the solutions are to prove identity, reduce abandonments, reduce fraud, increase approval rates, and secure the payments ecosystem.
The Authentication Identity Check team within Core Payments is looking for a looking for a Product Manager - Technical to support the development of advanced, cloud-native applications that are transforming the payments landscape.

Role:
•\tSupport the definition of product and service requirements across business, feature, and technical levels.
•\tAssist in breaking down business needs and customer experiences into features and user stories.
•\tCollaborate with Technical Program Managers, Developers, and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements.
•\tParticipate in user story elaboration sessions and help ensure clarity for the SCRUM team.
•\tContribute to product documentation and support the team throughout the development lifecycle.
•\tStay informed on customer needs, stakeholder priorities, and Mastercard product strategy.
•\tBe open to drive multiple scrum teams, work allocation and capacity planning.

All About You
•\tStrong interest in solving customer problems through technology.
•\tAnalytical mindset with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts.
•\tExperience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
•\tClear verbal and written communication skills.
•\tFamiliarity with software architecture concepts, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.
•\tAbility to read Java code and write basic SQL queries.
•\t2–5 years of experience in product or technical roles, with at least 1 year in requirements analysis or elaboration.
•\tBachelor’s degree in a related field.

Preferred
•\tExposure to software development projects.
•\tUnderstanding of real-time, scalable systems.
•\tInterest or experience in the payments industry.
