Product Manager - Login and Payments - 12 Month FTC Location: London Department Technology Salary Range: Not Specified Advertising End Date: 10 Aug 2025 **Job Description** The Times Media Product Management team is organised around three core pillars of the Times product; Customer (Subscription Growth), Content (Reader Experience) and Commercial Advertising. You will be a key leader among the Customer pillar, known as a ‘tribe’. The tribe is made up of cross-functional squads of Product, Design and Business Analysis. Supported by a dedicated Delivery and Engineering team. You will be joining at an exciting time in the evolution of both the Product team and The Times as a whole, this role is leading the Log-in and payments tribe, you will be responsible for executing the Product strategy and being the SME in payments & log in platforms. This is a key role in the business and you’ll have the opportunity to make a huge impact. **The Role:** We are seeking a results-driven Product Manager to own and drive the digital product that enhances user experience, drives growth, and improves our most key journeys for our users, including payments & log in. The ideal candidate would be a product expert & have strong knowledge of payments & authorisation journeys (although this is not essential). This combined with the ability to lead a team in making data-driven decisions, and cross-functional collaboration with partners who may not be as technical but understand the value of the work. **Key Responsibilities** + Collaborate with developers, and the wider cross-functional team to implement product improvements and optimize user experience + Manage vendor relationships with our Log-in and payments system providers + Define and track key performance metrics, analyzing trends and providing actionable insights + Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product enhancements and technical recommendations + Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management relating to payments & authorisation (log in) + Develop experiments to improve usability, conversion rates and customer satisfaction + Partner with editorial, marketing, and commercial teams to align product efforts with broader business strategies + Advocate for user-centered design and product best practices across the organization + Manage product roadmaps and prioritize features based on business impact and user needs **Skills & Experience** **Essential:** + Proven experience in product management with a track record of delivering successful digital products + Strong understanding of user experience principles, analytics, and performance optimization + Strong communication skills with the ability to translate user insights into business impact + Experience working in agile development environments + Understanding of subscription based payments systems e.g.Zuora, Stripe, Klarna + Understanding of risk management & fraud prevention techniques & how this needs to protect Times Media and the user **Desirable:** + Experience in digital media, publishing, or subscription-based businesses + Experience with product analytics tools and data visualization + Understanding of SEO, conversion optimization, or digital marketing principles If you believe you have the skills and passion to succeed, even if you don’t meet every requirement on the list, we encourage you to apply.
